Warning: Setting this switch in a position other than OFF can cause this phone to function incorrectly. When enabled, this feature is for PBX systems, and not meant for direct Central Office (CO) interface. If connecting to CO telephone lines, make sure this switch is set to OFF.

OPERATION WTTH PLANTRONICSWIRELESS HEADSETS

The 2705 telephone is designed to work with Plantronics™ wireless head- sets. Any Plantronics™ headset that can control a Plantronics™ handset lifter can be controlled by the 2705. Here are the steps for installation with a Plantronics™ headset.

1.Configure the 2705 as described in the Installation section of this Users Guide. Verify that the phone will make and receive calls in both handset and speaker phone modes.

2.Unpack and configure the Plantronics™ headset as described in the Plantronics™ User Guide. Note: For correct operation, the headset batteries must be fully charged.

3.Note: Be sure the Plantronicsheadset power adapter is connected to the wall outlet before continuing. Plug the phone cable (supplied with Plantronics™ headset) into the telephone cord jack on the headset base. See drawing on following page. Please note that this cable may already be installed.

4.Plug the other end of the phone cable into the HEADSET jack of the 2705.

5.Plug the headset control cable (supplied with 2705 telephone) into the Headset Lifter Jack on the headset base. Use the right angle end of the cable.

6.Plug the other end of the headset control cable into the WIRELESS HEADSET jack on the 2705.
