Troubleshooting
The Speakerphone Caller ID must be serviced by trained |
engineers. NEVER attempt any repairs or adjustments yourself — |
you could make the problem worse and invalidate the Guarantee. |
Always make sure your Speakerphone Caller ID is fully plugged |

If the phone does not ring … | Check that the ringer volume switch on the side of the unit is |
| not set to the lowest position. |
| Check that the total REN value of all equipment connected to |
| your telephone line is no more than 4. Disconnect one or |
| more telephones and see whether that helps. |
If you cannot make calls … | Disconnect all other instruments connected to the same line |
| as the Speakerphone Caller ID and see whether you can make |
| a call. |
| Disconnect the Speakerphone Caller ID from the telephone |
| line and plug a different telephone into the socket. Try making |
| a call. If this works, the line is OK. |
SECRECY button
press this during a call to prevent the caller from hearing you. Press it again when you
want to be heard again.

SPEAKERPHONE button — press this to dial and speak with the handset on hook.

REDIAL • PAUSE button — press this to display the last number you dialled. You may need this button’s PAUSE function if your phone is connected to a PBX.

Installation
Fit a battery before you connect the phone to the telephone line.
You need a 9 V PP3/6FL22 battery (not supplied with the unit).

Do not clean any part of your Speakerphone Caller ID with solvent chemicals, abrasives or spray cleaners which might get inside the case and cause damage not covered by the guarantee. When necessary, clean it with a damp cloth.
Keep your Speakerphone Caller ID away from hot, humid conditions or strong sunlight.

Before removing the battery compartment cover, always make sure the telephone line cable is unplugged at the socket

| and fax machines have a REN of 1 unless marked otherwise. |
