If you are expecting an important call, it is a good idea to activate the call waiting function. If you are in the middle of a call, you will then be made aware there is a call. waiting. You can accept or ignore the waiting call.

Activating/de-activating call waiting

Activation

Press key. Lamp comes on.

De-activation

Press key. Lamp goes out.

Answering a waiting call

Precondition: You are telephoning. The call-waiting function is activated.

If your telephone belongs to an ONS group (One Number Service ￿ page 46), please note the fol- lowing features:

In addition to the alerting tone on the busy tele- phone, the second call is indicated on the other telephones in the ONS group by a ringing tone.

You hear the alerting tone. The lamp flashes. The caller hears the ringing tone as if you were "free".

Press key. You are now connected to the waiting caller. The first party then waits.

Waiting call over, first call is continued:

Press key.

Replace the handset and lift again.
