Answering System Operation

Record a Memo

You can record a memo up to four minutes long to store as an incoming message.

1. Press and release REC/MEMO. The system announces "Please select mailbox."

2. Press the MAILBOX button to select a mailbox for the memo. After the sys- tem announces "Record after the tone. Press MAILBOX when you are done." speak towards the base mi- crophone. The message window dis- plays the length of your memo, up to 99 seconds. If you record longer memo, 99 continues to flash until you finish.

3. To stop recording, press MAILBOX again.

Call Screening

1. Set the base playback volume to a level greater than 1 to hear messages as they are left.

2. If you press /FLASH on the handset, the answering system will stop record- ing, and you can talk to your caller.

3. If you don’t want to screen messages, set the volume level to 1.
