The message counter usually displays the total

 

number of memos and incoming messages. See the

 

list below for explanations of other displays in this

The number flashes when there are new

 

 

 

(un-reviewed) messages.

 

 

 

If the telephone loses power, after power

 

 

 

is restored, the number in the message

 

 

 

counter will flash to indicate the clock
