Terms you should know

Attendant

A telephone operator in your organization.

Autodial

A telephone number programmed on the Autodial key for one-touch dialing.

Call party information

The display showing Call Party Name Display (CPND) information including the telephone number and name of the incoming call. The system must have CPND enabled.

Desktop Charger

The Desktop Charger is used to recharge the battery pack for the 2210 Wireless Handset.

Directory Number (DN)

A number consisting of one to seven digits for a handset.

Also known as an extension number.

Feature display

An area that shows status information about the feature in use. It also displays the name and status of the active session.

Fixed key

The hard-labeled keys on your handset.

Indicator

An LCD or an LED that indicates the status of a feature by the flash, wink, steady on, or off.

Interrupted dial tone

A broken or pulsed dial tone, heard when you access some of the features on your handset.
