Setting Up Your Answering System

Turning the answering system on/off

To turn the answering system on, press

ans on/off

. The current greeting

 

message will be played and a tone will sound.

To turn the answering system of f, press

ans on/off

again.

When the answering system is full, displays on the base and the system announces “No remaining time“. You should delete some messages so that the system can record new messages.

Setting the clock

The clock on TRU 3485 Answering System starts when power is applied to the base. Follow these steps to set the clock to the correct time.

1 Press and hold clock until a tone sounds.

2 First, press or repeatedly until the correct day of the week is

announced. (Number through displays on the base as each day is announced.) Press clock again to select the day.

3 Next, press or repeatedly until you hear the correct hour

setting. Numbers through display on the base as each hour is announced. Press clock again to select the correct hour.

4 Press or repeatedly until you hear the correct minute setting.

Numbers through display on the base as each minute is announced. Press clock again to select the correct minute.

Press and hold

or to quickly scroll through numbers on the display.

If you don´t complete the clock setting within two minutes, the system returns to standby.
