INSTALLING BATTERIES/ SETUP

Your CID requires four AAA batteries (not supplied) to protect its memory when AC power fails or is disconnected. For the longest life and best performance, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries.

Cautions:

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.

Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.

Follow these steps to install batteries and program the CID.

Caution: To avoid electrical shock, make sure the CID is unplugged from the telephone line and AC power before removing the battery compartment cover.
