2.Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot next to the battery compartment cover and gently pry it up until the cover pops off.

3.Place the batteries in the compartment as indi- cated by the polarity symbols (+ and ) marked inside.

4.Replace the cover. If you replaced the batteries, reconnect the telephone line.

When

appears replace the batteries.

Warning: Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or bury them.

Caution: If you do not plan to use the CID-941 with batteries for a month or longer, remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy elec- tronic parts.
