PREPARATION

INSTALLING BATTERIES

Your CID-941 requires 2 AA batteries (not supplied) to protect the system’s memory during a power fail- ure. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries.

Cautions:

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.

Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.

Note: When replacing the batteries, if you do not in- stall the new batteries within one minute after remov- ing the old ones, you will lose all information stored in the CID-941.

Follow these steps to install batteries.

1.If you are replacing the batteries, disconnect the CID-941 from the telephone line.
