Using the Telephone

Making a Call

Pre-Dialling

If you need to make a correction while entering the phone number when using Pre-

Dialling, press . The digit is cleared to the left, then you can enter numbers. All

digits are cleared if you press and hold .

You can also press to make a call.

Answering a Call

Terminating a Call

Press TALK.

You can also answer a call by pressing to , , , or (Any Key Talk).

Auto Talk

If you set Auto Talk to ON, you can answer the phone by lifting the handset off the base unit. (See Setting Auto Talk ON/OFF on page 53.)

Illuminated Keypad

The cordless handset dialling buttons will light when you press a button or lift the cordless handset off the charger when a call is received. The lights will go out a few seconds after pressing a button to start operations, lifting the cordless handset or answering a call or pressing button to complete operations such as hanging up a call, leaving the Caller ID List/Phonebook or Settings.

LCD Backlight

The lighted display of the handset will stay on for a few seconds after pressing a button or lifting the handset off the base unit.
