Troubleshooting
If the handset display shows error messages, see “If the Following Appears on Your Display...” (p. 48) for the Cause & Remedy.

“No link to base. Move closer to base and try
again.” is displayed and an alarm tone sounds.
•The handset has lost communication with the base unit. Walk closer to the base unit, and try again.
•Confirm that the base unit’s AC adaptor is plugged in.
•Raise the base unit antennas.
•If the above remedies do not solve the problem, the handset may have lost communication with the base unit. Register the handset again (p. 42).

•If the unit is connected to a telephone line with DSL service, you may hear noise from the receiver or speaker during conversations. We recommend the addition of a noise filter (contact your DSL service provider) to the telephone line between the base unit and the telephone line jack.
Telephone System Answering System
The handset does not ring. • The ringer volume is turned off. Set to high, medium, or low (p. 16).
The handset display is blank. • If the handset display is blank, fully charge the battery (p. 10).
