Useful Information

Error messages

If the unit detects a problem, one of the following messages is shown on the display.

Display message

Cause/solution

Busy

L The called handset is in use.

or

L Other units are in use and the system is busy.

Try again later.

System is busy. Please

L The handset you are using is too far from the

base unit. Move closer and try again.

L The handset’s registration may have been

 

canceled. Re-register the handset (page 24).

Check tel line

L The supplied telephone line cord has not been

 

connected yet or not connected properly. Check

 

the connections (page 9).

Dial locked

L Dial lock is turned on. To turn it off, see page 15.

Don’t use this

L A wrong type of batteries such as Alkaline or

battery.

Manganese was inserted. Use only the

 

rechargeable Ni-MH batteries noted on page 4,

Error!!

L The handset’s registration has failed. Move the

 

handset and base unit away from all electrical

 

appliances and try again.

 

L The entered password was wrong in

 

programming dial lock. Enter the correct

 

password.

Insert battery

L The handset was placed on the base unit or

 

charger without batteries. Insert the batteries

 

properly (page 10).

Invalid

L There is no handset registered to the base unit

 

matching the handset number you entered.

 

L The handset is not registered to the base unit.

 

Register the handset (page 24).

No link to base.

L The handset has lost communication with the

Reconnect AC adaptor.

L Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the

 

unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
