NOTE: To switch between GMRS and Weather Band modes, press and hold the Mode button for 2 seconds. To differentiate between operating modes, look for GMRS HI or LO indication below and to the left of the battery power level indicator when in GMRS mode. In Weather Band mode, the weather alert icon ( 
) appears in place of the GMRS indications. Refer to the appropriate section of this manual for detailed operating instructions for each mode. When in GMRS standby mode, the transmit/receive indicator will flash once every 3 seconds as the unit checks for transmissions.
