To register to a TRU9 series base, simply place the accessory handset in the base. While the handset is registering, HANDSET REGISTERING will appear in the LCD. When

REGISTRATION COMPLETE. is displayed; the handset has been registered to the base.

If REGISTRATION FAILED. appears, remove the handset from the base and try again.

For Other Base Models

1. Select your base model from this list and follow these directions:

MODEL	DIRECTIONS:
TRU9488	• On the base, press the MENU soft key.
	• Scroll down to REGISTER HANDSET and press the
TRU9496	OK soft key.
UIP1868P	• On the handset, press and hold [#] until the display
UIP1869V
TRU8888	reads HANDSET REGISTERING and you hear a
	beep.
	• On the base, press [menu/select].
	• Scroll down to SYSTEM SETUP and press the OK soft
CLX465	key.
CLX485	• Select REGISTER HANDSET and press the OK soft
ELBT585	key.
ELBT595	• On the handset, press and hold [#] until the display
	reads HANDSET REGISTERING and you hear a
	beep.
