Transfer

UIP300 allows users to perform a transfer while the user is engaged in a conversation.

To transfer a call when the calling party is on Line 1:

Blind Transfer

1.Press Transfer key. This places the second party on hold.

2.Dial the phone number of the party where the call is to be transferred.

3.Upon hearing the line ringing, hang up to complete the transfer.

Supervised Transfer

1.Press Transfer key. This places the second party on hold.

2.Dial the phone number of the party where the call is to be transferred.

3.a. If the third party accepts the call, hang up to complete the transfer.

b.If the third party rejects the call and hangs up, follow the voice guidance menu and press 4 to return to the initial caller.

Conference

The feature allows three parties to be a part of the same conversation. To make a conference call, at least one line must be available.

1.Press Conference key. This puts remote party on hold by the system.

2.Enter “#” followed by the destination party’s telephone number.

3.When connected to the third party, press Conference key and then 5 to start the conference call.

Call Waiting

This feature allows a user to answer an incoming call while one of the two lines is being used. When there is an incoming call and one of the two lines is in use, the user hears a call waiting tone and the LED on the available line blinks continuously. A call waiting tone and flashing LED continues until the call is answered or the incoming call is terminated.

To answer the incoming call:

1.Press the Hold key to put the current party on hold.

2.Press the line key where the new incoming call is ringing.

If the user presses the line key without first putting the current party on hold, the current call is automatically dropped.
