Backlight

When the mains power is connected to the unit, the backlight will always be on. It will dim automatically depending upon the darkness.

The backlight will be extinguished in the event of a power cut and a backup battery is fitted. The display will still display the time.

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of ‘dangerous voltage’ inside the unit.

The exclamation point within the triangle is a warning sign alerting the user of important instructions accompanying the product.
