Before operating the device, make sure that it is in perfect condition. Do not use it otherwise.

Open the battery compartment at the back or underneath, and insert a 9V battery pack. (Type 6LR61)

Insert the power plug into the power socket.

Select a socket which is acces- sible at any time, so that the plug can be quickly pulled out in case of any problem.

Note: Rechargable batteries can- not be charged via the battery connection. In case of a long po- wer supply failure (several hours), you must check and adjust the time and alarm time if necessary
