Preliminary Knowledge

To access on-screen displays, press ON SCREEN (except for Parental lock). Depending on the type of disc inserted (or “no disc”) and the XV-1000BK’s mode, a proper on- screen display is accessed.

See "Setting Parental Lock" on pages 49, 50 and 51.

Screen saver function

A television monitor screen may be burned out if a static picture is displayed for a long time. To prevent this, the XV-1000BK automatically activates the screen saver function if a static picture, such as an on-screen display or menu, is displayed for 5 minutes.

Pressing any button of the XV-1000BK or the remote control unit will release the screen saver function and go back to the previous display.
