Again, the player is an exceptionally delicate instru- ment and should not be repaired or have parts changed except by authorized service personnel.

Remote Control Batteries

The player remote control operates on 2 Triple-A

(AAA)batteries. Power consumption is exception- ally low and general-purpose batteries can be ex- pected to last at least 6 months. Remove the bat- teries if the remote is not used for an extended pe- riod of time to prevent leaking and damage to the remote’s internal circuitry. When installing new bat- teries, please make sure to select high-quality, non- leaking batteries.

AC Power Adapter

Please only use the AC power adapter included with your player. Do not use power transformers obtained elsewhere.

Display Screen

The surface of the display screen is easily scratched. Avoid contact with sharp or hard objects. When not in use, the player screen should be firmly closed. If the screen is solied, gently wipe it with soft, clean cloth. Do not apply water or any clean- ing solvent.

Recharging Battery

Do not dissemble the battery pack. Do not dispose of in fire. Dispose of in a proper man- ner and recycle where possible. Do not ex- pose batteries to high temperatures. Do not permit battery contacts to touch metal sur- faces and short. Avoid contact with all metal objects. For other battery maintenance and usage suggestions, please refer to page 82.
