Install the batteries

Your BT Freeway Mini mobile radios each use 3 x AAA alkaline batteries.

With the back of radio facing you, slide down the battery compartment cover.

Insert 3 x AAA alkaline batteries ensuring that the + and

marked on the batteries match up with those marked inside the battery compartment as shown.

If the belt clip is attached, you will need to remove it first, see ‘Attaching the belt clip’, page 6.

Battery low warning

When the batteries are low and need replacing, your BT Freeway Mini radio repeatedly gives a double beep.

The operation of your radio will be become unreliable when the batteries are low.

If the battery level gets too low, your radio will automatically switch off.

For long-term storage of your radios it is recommended that you remove the batteries.

Slide the battery cover back into place.
