2. Preparation for operation

Start up all outdoor sensors first, then the base station.

2.1. The outdoor sensors

The following outdoor sensors are available for the weather station:

-E 9301 combi-sensor: This is a permanently addressed combination sensor consisting of rain sensor, instant rain detection sensor, wind speed sensor, outdoor temperature/humidity sensor and integrated transmitter unit. Operation is by means of three AA batteries.

-E 9305 outdoor temperature/humidity sensor: Addressable sensor, battery- operated (2 AA batteries). Up to 8 sensors of this type can be used for operation on the E 9300.

Commissioning

E 9301

The E 9301 is commissioned according to the following procedure:

-Assemble the pipes of the sensor mast via the pipe-connectors. The pipe, which is squeezed on one side, is used as earth spike. Connect the twin-connector with the E 9301 to the top of the mast.

-Open the housing of the sensor by turning the housing counter-clockwise and pulling from underneath (see picture bottom left).

-Insert three AA batteries into the battery compartment as indicated by the pole markings in the compartment.
