TOP AND FRONT PANELS

1VOLUME - adjusts the volume level

2 DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost) - enhances the bass

3 POWER slider -

selects the sound source for CD/ TUNER/ TAPE and also switches the set off

4 p - 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack

Note: Connecting headphones will switch off the speakers.

5 Display - shows the status of the set

6 CASSETTE RECORDER keys:

PAUSE ; - pauses recording or playback STOP•OPEN 9/

-stops the tape;

-opens the cassette compartment SEARCH 5 / 6 - fast winds/rewinds the

tape

PLAY 1 - starts playback

RECORD 0 - starts recording

7OPEN•CLOSE - opens/ closes the CD door

8 PRESET 3 ,4 (up, down) - selects a tuner preset station

9 BAND - selects waveband

0 MODE - selects a different play mode for CD playback e.g. repeats tracks or SHUFFLE, plays tracks in random order

!PLAY•PAUSE 2; -

starts/ pauses CD playback

@SEARCH ∞ / § -

Tuner: - (down, up) tunes to radio stations;

CD: - searches back and forward within a track;

-skips to the beginning of a current track/ previous/ later track

#STOP 9 - stops CD playback or erase a CD program

$Cassette door % PROG -

Tuner: programs preset radio stations;

CD: programs tracks and reviews the program

^ BATT LOW - indicates when battery power is running low

&Telescopic antenna - improves FM reception

*AC MAINS - inlet for power cord
