POWER SOURCES

POWER SUPPLY

This TV is designed to operate from 10 “C” size batteries, a 120VAC 60Hz AC Adapter or a Car Adapter.

BATTERIES

To operate using batteries, gently remove the battery cover by sliding it in the direction of the arrow and

insert 10 “C” size batteries following the illustration. Replace the

 

 

 

battery cover.

Slide the CHARGE switch to the BATT. position.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS

Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:

1.Use only the size and type of batteries specified.

2.Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment. Reversed batteries may cause damage to the device.

3.Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.

4.If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.

5.Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions.)

AC POWER

To operate the unit using AC power, connect the AC adapter to the jack labeled “DC-12V” on the unit and insert it into a wall outlet having 120V, 60Hz only Slide the CHARGE switch to the EXT. position.

NOTE: If the AC adapter’s plug does not fit into a nonpolarized outlet, do not file or cut the wide blade.

CAUTION: Use only the AC adapter provided; using another AC adapter may damage the unit. When not using AC power, disconnect the AC adapter from the wall outlet by pulling the plug (not the cord). Do not touch the AC adapter with wet hands.

DC (CAR BATTERY) POWER

Confirm that your car uses a 12V negative ground battery system - + by reading the car’ owner’s manual or contacting the manufacturer. Remove the cigarette lighter from its socket in the dash and connect one end of the Car Adapter into the DC 12V Jack and the other end to the car cigarette lighter socket. Slide the CHARGE switch to the EXT. position.

NOTE: Remove the Car Adapter from the car cigarette lighter socket when not in use.
