TO INSTALL BACK-UP PAD

The Porter-Cable Polisher has a “Hook

&Loop” style back-up pad. No wrenches are required for installation or removal of the back-up pad or accessories.

1.CAUTION: DISCONNECT TOOL FROM POWER SOURCE.

2.Depress spindle lock button (A) Fig.

3and rotate back-up pad clockwise onto spindle until it is firmly seated.

3.Align “Hook & Loop” accessories with pad and press firmly into place.

OPERATION

TO START AND STOP THE MACHINE

CAUTION: Make sure switch is OFF and power circuit voltage is the same as that shown on the specification plate.

1.Connect tool to power source.

2.Grip machine firmly to resist starting torque.

3.Squeeze trigger switch (A), Fig. 4, to turn tool “ON”. When released, the switch will return to the “OFF” position.

4.To lock the switch in the “ON” position: with switch “ON” press switch lock button (B) Fig. 4, and hold while releasing the trigger. To release the switch lock: press the trigger switch.
