Changing the remote control code

Change the code if you find the remote control unintentionally also controls other equipment.

Change the main unit’s code

Preparation

Ensure disc tray is empty.

Press and hold [CD q/h] on the main unit and then press and hold [2] (or [1]) on the remote control. “REMOTE 2” (or “REMOTE 1”) is displayed.

Change the remote control’s code

Press and hold [OK] and [2] (or [1]) on the remote control for at least 2 seconds.

If the remote control and main unit are using different codes, a message appears on the main unit’s display showing the main unit’s current code. Follow the above step to change the remote control’s code to match it.

Troubleshooting guide

Before requesting service, make the following checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem, consult your dealer for instructions.

Common problems

No sound.	•	Turn the volume up.
	•	The speaker cords may not be connected properly. Turn the unit off, check and
		correct the connections and turn the unit on (➡ page 4).

Problem sounds unfixed,	•	Check the speaker connections (➡ page 4).

Humming heard during	•	An AC mains lead or fluorescent light is near the cables. Keep other appliances
