3.Position the blade guides so that the edges of the bearings are just behind the blade gul- lets as illustrated in Figure 25.

4.Tighten the hex nut that was loosened in step 2 to secure the position of the blade guides.

5.Repeat the procedure for the lower blade guides.

NOTICE

Whenever changing a blade or adjusting ten- sion and tracking, the upper and lower blade support bearings and guide blocks must be properly adjusted before cutting operations.

Trunnion Scale

The table needs to be positioned 90˚ to the blade so the trunnion scale pointer can be correctly set.

To adjust the trunnion scale pointer:

1.Make sure the blade is tracking properly and is correctly tensioned.

2.Disconnect the machine from the power source!

3.Loosen the two knob bolts that secure the table trunnion to the side of the bandsaw (Figure 26).
