BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Please read the safety advice for electric tools in the section on "Safe operation".
Before using the tool for the first time check that your mains voltage agrees with that on the rating plate.
Before heating the tool check that the soldering tip is firmly seated - the clamping screw must be fully tightened.
Connect the soldering pencil to the mains supply.
When removing the soldering tip make sure that the soldering pencil is switched off and do not use too much force. Slide a new soldering tip fully in so that it hits the stop.
Do not heat up the soldering pencil without a tip in place.
After use let the soldering pencil cool down in air only. Under no circumstances quench the tip in water!
Place the soldering pencil in the stand during any pauses in your work.
