735 specifications

The Porter-Cable 735 is a versatile and robust thickness planer that has become a go-to tool for both professional woodworkers and DIY enthusiasts alike. Designed to handle a variety of wood types, the 735 excels in providing a smooth and precise finish, making it an essential addition to any workshop.

One of the standout features of the Porter-Cable 735 is its powerful 15-amp motor, which delivers an impressive 20,000 RPM. This high-speed operation enables the planer to tackle even the toughest hardwood, effortlessly removing material while ensuring a consistent finish. With a maximum cutting width of 12 inches and a cutting depth capacity of up to 1/8 inch, users can easily work with larger pieces of lumber, making it suitable for various woodworking projects.

The 735 utilizes a dual-blade design that enhances performance and provides a smooth surface with reduced tear-out. The reversible blades offer extended life, allowing users to switch them when one side becomes dull, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. Additionally, the tool features a three knife cutter head design that provides a finer finish with minimal effort, ensuring that the results meet the high standards of any woodworking project.

Another significant characteristic of the Porter-Cable 735 is its integrated infeed and outfeed tables. These tables help to support longer workpieces, reducing the risk of snipe, a common issue where the ends of the boards can be cut unevenly. The tables are adjustable, allowing for seamless transitions during operation, which leads to a professional quality finish.

Porter-Cable has also incorporated advanced technology in the 735, including a built-in depth adjustment knob that allows for micro-adjustments, facilitating precise control over the cut depth. This feature adds to the tool's overall ease of use, making it accessible for beginners while still providing the functionality that seasoned woodworkers expect.

The portable design of the 735, combined with its lightweight construction, ensures that it can be easily transported and maneuvered around different job sites. With its durable build quality, the Porter-Cable 735 is designed to withstand the rigors of daily use, ensuring longevity and reliability.

In summary, the Porter-Cable 735 thickness planer combines power, precision, and innovative features, making it an invaluable tool for anyone serious about woodworking. Its performance, coupled with user-friendly design elements, guarantees that both novices and experienced woodworkers can achieve outstanding results in their projects.
