Charging the Battery
1.The Battery Pack (15) must be charged for three to five hours before use. Do not charge the Battery Pack longer than five hours; the Battery
Pack and/or Charger (21) may be damaged. Do not leave the Charger unattended while charging. Charge the Battery on a inflammable surface.
2.Move the Forward/Reverse Switch of the Drill to its center, locked position.
Unpacking
When unpacking, make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.
3.Push the Battery Release Button on top of the Battery down, and slide the Battery off the handle of the Drill.

Instructions for putting into use
Read the entire Important Safety Information section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
To prevent serious injury
from accidental operation:
Turn the Forward/Reverse Switch of the tool to its center, locked position and remove the Battery before assembling or making any adjustments to the tool.
Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual.

4.Slide the Battery onto the Charger. Plug the Charger into a grounded120 volt electrical outlet.
5.Verify that the charging indicator light comes on. If it does not come on, check the power cord connection. Charge the Battery until the charging indicator light turns off.
Note: While charging, the Battery and Charger may become warm to the touch. This is normal, and does not indicate a problem.
