Using the Configuration Interface

Requirements for using the DGL-3420’s Web Configuration Utility

If you are incorporating the DGL-3420 into a network that contains all D-Link devices, you do not need to use the Web Configuration utility. With its default settings, the DGL-3420 will connect with other D-Link 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g devices that are set to their default settings, with no configuration needed!

If your network contains devices other than D-Link devices, or if you wish to configure the

DGL-3420, you will need to do the following before using the Web Configuration Utility:

1 You will need a Java-enabled Web browser such as the Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, or the Netscape Navigator 7.0 or later.

2you can assign a static IP address of 192.168.0.2 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 to the

computer that you will use for configuration.

(Please refer to the Troubleshooting section of this manual for more information.)You will need to assign to your PC an IP address within the network of the DGL-3420. For example,
