Regulatory information

For regulatory identification purposes, your product is assigned a Regulatory Model Number. The Regulatory Model Number for your product is HSTNH-K12C. This regulatory number should not be confused with the marketing name (if any, etc.) or product numbers (HP P/N, etc.).

The Product Notices document provides country- and region-specific non-wireless and wireless regulatory notices and compliance information for the product. Some notices may not apply to your product.

One or more integrated wireless devices may be installed. In some environments, the use of wireless devices may be restricted. Such restrictions may apply on-board airplanes, in hospitals, near explosives, in hazardous locations, and so on. If you are uncertain of the policy that applies to the use of this product, ask for authorization to use it before you turn it on.

Regulatory markings for your country or region may be located on the back of the tablet or may be located in the Product Notices document.

To display the regulatory e-labels:

1.Touch , touch the Settings icon, and then touch About tablet.

2.Touch Regulatory Information, and then the label icons are displayed.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment:

Plug the AC adapter into an AC outlet that is easily accessible at all times.

Disconnect power from the tablet computer by unplugging the AC adapter from the AC outlet (not by unplugging the power cord from the tablet computer).

WARNING: To reduce potential safety issues, only the AC adapter provided with the product, a replacement AC adapter provided by HP, or an AC adapter purchased as an accessory from HP should be used with the product.

Do not allow a soft surface, such as pillows or rugs or clothing, to block airflow. Also, do not allow the AC adapter to contact the skin or a soft surface, such as pillows or rugs or clothing, during operation. The tablet and the AC adapter comply with the user-accessible surface temperature limits defined by the International Standard for Safety of Information Technology Equipment (IEC 60950).

WARNING: The battery in this product is not user-replaceable. Do not attempt to remove or replace it. Removing or replacing the battery could affect your warranty coverage. If the battery is no longer holding a charge, contact support.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or burns, do not disassemble, crush, or puncture; do not short external contacts; do not dispose of in fire or water.

WARNING:

Listening to music at high volume levels and for extended durations can damage one’s hearing. To reduce the risk of hearing damage, lower the volume to a safe, comfortable level and reduce the amount of time listening at high levels.

For your own safety, before using headsets or earphones, always reset the volume. Some headphones are louder than other headphones, even if the volume control setting is the same. Changing the default audio or equalizer settings might lead to higher volume and should only be done with caution.

For your own safety, headsets or earphones used with this product should comply with the headphone limits in EN 50332-2.

If the product includes a headset or earphones, this combination is in compliance to EN 50332-1.
