Removing the CD Drive

NOTE: CPU cover removed to

better enable you to see the screw locations. It is necessary to remove only the parts listed in the written procedure.

To remove the CD drive, complete the following steps:

1.Prepare the computer for disassembly.

2.Remove the palmrest cover with touch pad.

3.Remove the heatspreader.

4.Remove the keyboard.

5.Remove two screws located at the back of the CD drive.
