Each Additional sense and its corresponding Qualifier code—shown in bold in the example above—require interpretation on your part. Use the two codes together to determine the meaning. In the example above, the Additional sense (0x18) and Qualifier (0x01) codes together mean “recovered data with error correction and retries applied.” You can look up the various codes and keys in the tables on the next pages.
