Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:

1.Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2.Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3.Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4.Remove the battery (see Battery on page 36).

5.Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 43) and WWAN module (see WWAN module on page 41

6.Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 50

7.Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 53).

Remove the display assembly:

1.Close the computer.

2.Turn the computer display-side up, with the front toward you.

3.Disconnect and remove the WLAN cables (1) from the clips (2) built into the base enclosure.

4.Disconnect the display panel cable (3) from the system board.

5.Disconnect and remove the WWAN cables (4) from the system board.
