Security cable slot

Attaches an optional security cable to the computer.

 

 

NOTE: The security cable is designed to act as a deterrent,

 

 

but it may not prevent the computer from being mishandled or

 

 

stolen.

Drive light

Blinking white: The hard drive is being accessed.

 

 

Amber: HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection has

 

 

 

temporarily parked the hard drive.

Audio-out (headphone) jack/Audio-in

Produces sound when connected to optional powered stereo

 

(microphone) jack

speakers, headphones, earbuds, a headset, or television

 

 

audio. Also connects an optional headset microphone.

 

 

NOTE: When a device is connected to the jack, the device

 

 

speakers are disabled.
