Sound Field Control

 

 

 

 

Press [SFC].

Each time you press the button:

FLAT: Cancel (no effect is added) (factory preset).

MOVIE: Use this mode when playing movie software.

SPORT: Simulates sound to make you feel like you are at a sports event.

MUSIC: Adds surround effects to stereo sources.

HEAVY: Adds punch to rock.

CLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds.

SOFT: For background music.

To check the current setting, press [SFC].

MOVIE, SPORT and MUSIC are not available when Dolby Pro Logic II is on, or when playing a disc recorded with a multi-channel source.

You can adjust the volume of the surround speakers to get the best surround effect (page 29, Adjusting the volume of each speaker: Speaker level adjustments).

When MOVIE, SPORT or MUSIC is turned on, you can enjoy audio from your television in 5.1-channel surround sound (page 31).

Dolby Pro Logic II

Dolby Pro Logic II is an advanced decoder that derives 5-channel surround (Left and Right Front, Center, Left and Right Surround) from stereo sound sources, whether or not it has been specifically Dolby Surround encoded.

Press [ÎPLII].

Each time you press the button:
