HORIZONTAL SIDEWALL VENTING

For applications where vertical venting is not possible, the only approved method of horizontal venting is the use of an auxiliary power vent. Auxilary power venters must be approved by CSA, UL, or other recognized safety agencies. Follow all application and installation details provided by the manufacturer of the power vent.

FILTER PERFORMANCE

The airflow capacity data published in the “Blower Perfor- mance” table listed above represents blower performance WITHOUT filters.

All applications of these furnaces require the use of field installed air filters. All filter media and mounting hardware or provisions must be field installed external to the furnace cabi- net. DO NOT attempt to install any filters inside the furnace.

NOTE: Single side return above 1800 CFM is approved as long as the filter velocity does not exceed filter manufac- turer’s recommendation and a transition is used to allow use on a 20x25 filter.

NOTES:

1.Air velocity through throwaway type filters may not exceed 300 feet per minute (91.4 m/min). All velocities over this require the use of high velocity filters.

2.Do not exceed 1800 CFM using a single side return and a 16x25 filter. For CFM greater than 1800, you may use two side returns or one side and the bottom or one return with a transition to allow use of a 20x25 filter.

TGLS, TG8S specifications

The York TG8S and TGLS are two advanced commercial air conditioning units designed for high performance and efficiency, making them ideal for a variety of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) applications. These units exemplify York's commitment to delivering reliable and eco-friendly cooling solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of modern buildings.

The York TG8S is known for its exceptional energy efficiency, achieving SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) ratings that often exceed industry standards. This allows businesses to significantly reduce their energy consumption and operational costs while ensuring optimal indoor comfort. The unit features a robust design that can withstand harsh environmental conditions, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.

One of the standout features of the TG8S is its variable-speed compressor technology. This allows the system to adjust its cooling output based on the current demand, leading to improved temperature control and reduced energy usage. Additionally, the unit is equipped with advanced microprocessor controls that provide precise monitoring and customization of system performance, ensuring consistent comfort year-round.

On the other hand, the York TGLS series is specifically designed for larger commercial applications, such as office complexes and shopping centers. It is recognized for its modular design, which allows for easy installation and scalability. The TGLS units can be combined to create a system tailored to larger spaces, ensuring efficient temperature management throughout the entire facility.

Both the TG8S and TGLS units employ advanced refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP), aligning with current environmental regulations and initiatives aimed at reducing climate impact. The units are built with durable materials that not only enhance longevity but also contribute to their resistance against corrosion and wear.

Another noteworthy characteristic is their remarkably low noise levels, ensuring a comfortable environment without disruptive sounds. This is particularly important for commercial settings where maintaining a pleasant atmosphere is essential for customers and employees alike.

In conclusion, the York TG8S and TGLS units represent the forefront of HVAC technology, combining energy efficiency, advanced control systems, and environmentally responsible features. Their ability to adapt to varying cooling needs makes them an excellent choice for businesses looking to invest in sustainable cooling solutions while enhancing overall comfort.
