6.Select the COM port for the device. This will usually be higher than COM1. The actual COM PORT can be found by right clicking on the ‘MY COMPUTER’ icon and selecting ‘Properties’. Select the ‘HARDWARE’ tab and click on ‘DeviceManager’ button. Finally click the PORTS (COM & LPT) to see which USB Serial Port is assigned.

UPLOAD FIRMWARE (top right of screen)

Future upgrades and improvements can be uploaded from the computer to the EQ230/EQ430 hardware memory.

To perform a EQ230/EQ430 firmware update:

1.Download new firmware to your computer from www.carvin.com/XD.

2.Save the file in a known location on your computer.

3.Click on the “UPLOAD FIRMWARE” button at the top right of the screen.

4.Navigate to the firmware file you saved on your computer and double click.
