To disconnect:

•Unmount the microSD card on your computer.

•Open the Notifications panel and touch Turn off USB storage.

•Touch Turn off in the dialog that opens.

To safely remove the microSD card from your cellphone

The MicroSD card can be removed from your cellphone any time the cellphone is powered off.To remove the microSD card while the cellphone is on, you must unmount the storage card from the cellphone first, to prevent corrupting or damaging the storage card.

•Press Menu key from Home screen.

•Touch Settings\SD card & phone storage.

•Touch Unmount SD card.

You can now safely remove the microSD card from the cellphone.

To format a microSD card

•Press Menu key from Home screen.

•Touch Settings\SD card & phone storage.

•Touch Unmount SD card.You can format a microSD card only when it is unmounted.

•Touch Format SD card. On the screen that warns you that formatting

the microSD card will erase its contents, touch .

6.5Sharing your cellphone's mobile data connection

You can share your cellphone's mobile data connection with a single computer via a USB cable (USB tethering) or with up to eight devices at once by turning your cellphone into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

The functions below may incur additional network charges from your network operator. Extra fees may also be charged in roaming areas.

To share your cellphone's data connection via USB

Use the USB cable that along with your cellphone to connect the cellphone to a USB port on your computer.

•Press Menu key from Home screen.

•Touch Settings\Wireless & networks\Tethering & portable hotspot.

•Mark\unmark the check box of USB tethering to activate/deactivate this function.

To share your cellphone's data connection as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot

•Press Menu key from Home screen.

•Touch Settings\Wireless & networks\Tethering & portable hotspot.

•Mark\unmark the check box of Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to activate/ deactivate this function.

To rename or secure your portable hotspot

When Portable Wi-Fi hotspot is activated, you could change the name of your cellphone's Wi-Fi network (SSID) and secure its Wi-Fi network.

•Press Menu key from Home screen.
