Using the built-in sound

Aquality settings

aYou can choose one of three types of sound quality.

bHEAVY: Adds punch to rock cCLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds SOFT: For background music

Press [PRESET EQ] to select a setting.

Each time you press the button:

HEAVY CLEAR SOFT

EQ-OFF (cancelled)

Note

Preset EQ cannot be used together with Super Sound EQ.

Changes to sound quality do not affect recordings.

BEnhancing the sound quality

This feature enhances the bass and treble effect of the sound.

Press [SUPER SOUND EQ].

Remote control: Press [S.SOUND EQ].

Press the button again to cancel.

The button light goes out.

CUsing an external unit

Listening to an external source

Start playback from the external source. (Refer to your equipment’s operating instructions.)

2Insert the tape to be recorded on.

3Press [AUX].

4Press [[REC/ J] (recording starts).

Start playback from the external source. (Refer to your equipment’s operating instructions.)

DListening with headphones

Reduce the volume level, and connect the headphones. Plug type: 3.5 mm (1/8˝ ) stereo.

Note

Avoid listening for prolonged periods of time to prevent hearing damage.
