•Remove microphone from chime extender and mount microphone directly to existing chime case or inside existing chime. Note: Do not mount mi- crophone to chime bars.
–Gently pry microphone out of chime extender case (see Figure 3).
–Route microphone wires through small slot in chime extender case. Note: If necessary, remove microphone wires from wire terminals using a small phillips screwdriver. After routing wires as needed, reattach
–Use
3.Adjust sensitivity. When the chime extender and the wireless chime are working correctly, adjust the microphone sensitivity to the least sensitive position to reliably activate the chime extender. If sensitivity is set too high, common household noises may activate the chime extender.
4.Mount chime extender. Use either screws or double sided tape to mount chime extender.
•Screw Mounting
–To mount with screws, remove battery cover by pressing on cover with your thumb and sliding cover off (see Figure 2).
–Temporarily remove the batteries.
–Hold the chime extender in the desired location, and mark the two mounting holes (see Figure 5).
–Drill two 7/32" diameter pilot holes for wall anchors (provided) and insert anchors.
–Insert 2 screws (provided) through holes in back of chime extender and tighten securely.
–Replace batteries and battery cover.
