1 Screen search (During playback)

Turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise or counterclockwise.

The screen will fast forward or fast rewind.

The speed is variable by a amount of turning the SHUTTLE ring.

To return to normal playback

• Release the SHUTTLE ring.

2 When viewing a slow picture Press the TIME MODE ( , ) button during play back.

TIME MODE

Then you can not hear the sound.

When the picture trembles up and down during slow playback, press the V-LOCK

button. After proper adjustment, view the slow playback.

Press the TIME MODE button, and view the picture at the desired slow speed.

3 When viewing a forward reverse slow picture

Press the P/STILL button to pause the picture.

Turn the JOG dial to view slow reverse playback or turn the JOG dial to view slow forward playback.

Press the PLAY button to view the normal picture again.

When the slow play is continued for about five minutes, the tape is played back automatically.

When viewing special playback pictures

Occurrence of noise on the screen does not indicate any trouble.

The tape recorded by other VCR may show severe noise.

You may not hear normal sound during playback

• L3H recording tape

– L3H playback Normal

• L8H(L6H) recording tape

– L8H(L6H) playback Normal

 

– L24H/L40H(L18H/L30H) playback

 

Slow sound

• L24H(L18H) recording tape

– L8H(L6H) playback Fast sound

 

– L24H(L18H) playback Normal

• L40H(L30H) recording tape

– L8H/L24H(L6H/L18H) playback

 

Fast sound

 

– L40H(L30H) playback Normal

To hear the normal sound

The sound can be recorded only in L8H, L24H and L40H (L6H, L18H, L30H) and you can hear the normal sound only when playing at the recorded speed.
