What is Mobile Control?

The Mobile Control program allows you to control a device (smartphone, tablet, notebook PC, etc.) connected to the Smart Station monitor using a keyboard and mouse connected to the Smart Station monitor or PC. You can move the input focus of the keyboard and mouse from your PC to a smartphone for convenience. You can also use a tablet as a secondary display. The Mobile Control provides you with enhanced usability by allowing you to control two devices using a single keyboard and mouse and connect different kinds of devices.

*To use the Mobile Control, you must connect a mobile device that has the host function to the Smart Station monitor.

Using the Mobile Control function is not possible when a mobile device that does not have the host function is connected.

Using Mobile Control (Sharing Your Keyboard/Mouse)

Connect your PC to the Smart Station monitor using the USB cable provided in the package. The Mobile Control and Wireless Connection Manager software will automatically install.

NOTE

•  Check the instructions according to the type and operating system of your mobile device.

•  The software may not install automatically due to an anti-virus program on the PC. If this is the case, install Mobile Control by running the program install file on the provided manual CD.

•  Wireless Connection Manager is for Series 7 only.

About Mobile Control Mode

[] Charging/Control Mode

The battery of the connected device can be charged.

The mouse movement will slow down slightly the moment the mouse pointer focus is moved to the connected device.

The battery will not charge if the keyboard and mouse pointer focus is on the mobile device.

[ ] Fast Control Mode

The connected device cannot be charged.

The keyboard and mouse pointer focus can be quickly moved to the connected device.

NOTE

Mobile Control supports only mobile devices that have the USB Host function. Support for this feature depends on the specifications of your mobile device.

Galaxy S2 is supported. Galaxy products made by Sprint (United States) and AT&T (United States) are not supported because they do not have the USB Host function.
