Setting up the recording function using the camera buttons

ξIf you operate OIS function using a tripod, the image can be blurred by the vibration of the sensor of the OIS. Turn off the OIS function when you use a tripod.

ξIf the camera is subjected to an impact it can shake the LCD monitor. If this happens, turn the camera off and then on again. It should then function properly.

ξOperate the OIS function when the battery is efficiently charged

ξIf the low battery level ( ) is showing, OIS can still be set but will not work.

ξIt is recommended that you don`t use the OIS function in the Macro mode.

ξIf the OIS function is set when recording video, the function sounds of the OIS may be recorded.

E (Effect) button

It is possible to add special effects to your images by using this button.

-Still image mode : You can select the colour and image adjust menu. In the Auto mode, you can select the [COLOR] menu only.

-Movie mode : You can select the colour menu.

ξ This button will not operate in DUAL IS, Voice recording mode and some scene modes (Nightscene, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach&Snow).

ξEven if the camera is turned off, the effect setting will be preserved.

ξTo cancel the special effect, select sub menu in the Colour menu and select the sub menu in the Image Adjust menu.
