Mute Function

This is useful when answering a doorbell or telephone call.

1.Press MUTE button:

`` ‘ MUTE ’ appears in the display.

`` To switch the sound back on, press the MUTE button again or the VOL-, + button.

Connecting the Headphones

You can connect a set of headphones to your mini- compact system so that you can listen to music or radio programme without disturbing other people in the room. The headphones must have a 3.5ø jack or an appro-priate adapter.

1.Connect the headphones to the PHONES jack on the main unit.

`` Result: The speakers are no longer used to output

the sound.

NOTE

`` Prolonged use of headphones at a high volume may damage your hearing.

`` If you use the headphones, GIGA SOUND will automatically turn off.Even if you remove the headphones, it will not turn on.

04 Basic Functions

Display Function

You can view all functions available on the display, adjust the brightness of the display and select the Display/LED either on or off.

1.Each time you press and hold the DISPLAY button on the remote control or press the DEMO & DISPLAY button on the main unit , the display mode will change as follows:

`` The Demo function

All functions available on the system appear on the front panel display.

`` The Dimmer function

The Dimmer function is selected and the display darkens.

`` LED OFF

The LED is turned off while the dimmer function is working.

`` Clock ON

The Clock you set is displayed.

`` LED/Display ON

All Display and LED are turned on.Connectin

Connecting the Microphone

You can also connect a microphone to sing along with your favorite CDs.

1.Plug a microphone with a 3.5ø MIC jack into the MIC terminal.

`` Turn the MIC VOL knob on the main unit to adjust

the Microphone Volume. NOTE

`` If you use the Microphone, GIGA SOUND will automatically turn off. Even if you remove the Microphone, it will not turn on.

`` If you hear strange noises (squealing or howling) while using the microphone, turning the Volume Knob on the main unit or the speaker volume is also effective.
