CARE OF GLASS, AND PLATED PARTS

WARNING

DO NOT SUBSTITUTE MATERIALS.

USE CARE WHEN HANDLING GLASS COMPONENTS DO NOT STIKE, OR SLAM SHUT.

DO NOT OPERATE WITH BROKEN GLASS.

The glass is 3/16” ceramic glass available from your Napoleon® / Wolf Steel Ltd. dealer. Clean the glass after the first 10 hours of operation with a recommended gas fireplace glass cleaner. Thereafter clean as required. DO NOT CLEAN GLASS WHEN HOT! Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean plated parts. Buff lightly with a clean dry cloth. If the glass is not kept clean permanent discolouration and / or blemishes may result.

VENTING

VENTING LENGTHS

For safe and proper operation of the fireplace follow the venting instruction exactly.

The GT8N/P must be terminated horizontally only.

The vent connection to the fireplace can be viewed by removing the baffle from the top, inside of the firebox.

Vent lengths that pass through unheated spaces (attics, garages, crawl spaces) should be insulated with the insulation wrapped in a protective sleeve to minimize condensation.

Venting terminals shall not be recessed into a wall or siding.

Use only Wolf Steel Ltd. flexible vent components with the Wolf Steel Ltd. GD179 termination kit.

With flexible venting, in conjunction with the GD178 wall terminal kit, use either the 5 foot vent kit GDT5 or the 10 foot vent kit GDT10. These kits allow for extended horizontal venting of the fireplace.

The maximum allowable vent length is 10’ feet using flexible venting. The maximum number of allowable 3” vent connections is one (excluding the fireplace and the air terminal connections).

For optimum flame appearance and fireplace performance, keep the vent length and number of elbows to a minimum.

The air terminal must remain unobstructed at all times. Examine the air terminal at least once a year to verify that it is unobstructed and undamaged.

Horizontal runs may have a 0 inch rise per foot in all cases when venting as illustrated in Figures 2a, 2b ,and 2c. For optimum performance, it is recommended that all horizontal runs have a minimum ¼ inch rise per foot.

When venting, the horizontal run must be kept to a minimum of 4” inches or a maximum of 72”. If a 72” horizontal run is required, the fireplace must have a minimum vertical rise immediately off the fireplace of 18”. Figures 2a, 2b, and 2c.

Do not allow the inside liner to bunch up on horizontal runs and elbows. Keep it pulled tight. A 3/4” air gap between the inner and outer liner all around is required for safe operation.

Use firestop spacer (W500-0358) when penetrating interior walls and ceilings.

These fireplaces are designed to provide not only warmth but also a striking aesthetic that complements various interior designs.

The GT8N and GT8P are part of Napoleon's renowned series of gas fireplaces, which focus on delivering a superior heating experience while maintaining ease of use. One of the standout features of these models is their impressive thermal efficiency, which helps to reduce energy costs while providing consistent heat output. With an energy-efficient design, the GT8N and GT8P ensure that homes remain cozy during the harshest of winters.

Both models offer a range of customizable options to suit individual preferences. The GT8N features a traditional design with classic styling, while the GT8P is more contemporary, boasting a sleek, modern look. The extensive selection of finishing materials, including various trim options and media placements, allows homeowners to customize their fireplace to seamlessly fit into their living spaces.

One of the most innovative technologies featured in the GT8N and GT8P is the advanced heat distribution system. This allows for optimal circulation of warm air throughout the room, ensuring that heat is evenly dispersed and preventing cold spots. The fireplaces are equipped with variable-speed fans that can be adjusted according to the desired heat output, providing flexibility for different situations.

Safety is a top priority in the design of the GT8N and GT8P. Both models come equipped with protective features, such as a built-in safety system that detects any irregularities in operation. Additionally, the fireplaces utilize a sealed combustion system, drawing air from outside for combustion, which minimizes the impact on indoor air quality.

Another key characteristic of the GT8N and GT8P is their ease of installation and maintenance. These fireplaces are designed to be easily integrated into existing layouts, providing versatility in home design. Moreover, the straightforward maintenance schedule, combined with high-quality materials, ensures long-lasting performance and reliability.

In summary, the Napoleon Fireplaces GT8N and GT8P represent the ideal blend of style, efficiency, and advanced technology.
