TheDV-273Hastingsgaugetubeisruggedbut sensitive,specificallymadeforthisrange,andmatchedforinterchangeabilitywithoutrecalibrationgivingextraversatilityfor allvacuumapplications. Tubesaretemperaturecompensated,butdorespondtolarge Ttransients,requiringinsulating tubestoreducetemperaturetransients.

1.2 OperatingPrinciple:

OperationoftheHVC-282VacuumGaugeisbasedonalowvoltageDCbridgewhichheatsanoblemetalthermopile. A changeinpressurecreatesachangeinthethermalconductivityofgassurroundingthethermopile,thusatvacuum,little powerisusedtoheatthethermopileandatfullscalerequiresmaximumpower.
