Housing Gaskets

Each housing is equipped with a recessed woven-wire RF gasket and a silicone-rubber weather gasket to provide a seal between the housing base and lid (Figure 2-6). These gaskets provide efficient ground continuity, RF shielding, and weather protection. Both gaskets must be in place and in good condition to ensure proper operation and protection of the station. The weather gasket should be lightly coated with silicone grease each time the amplifier is opened. Replace this gasket if it becomes damaged or deformed.
