3.8.16 MODE 6 VOLUME CONTROL DISCRETE

Type:

Mode 6 low volume select switch

Signal Status:

Low Volume Select or Normal Volume

“Low Volume” in this case refers to the -6db volume level used during Self-Test. “Normal Volume” refers to the level of the selected call-out menu.

3.8.17 CALLOUTS ENABLE DISCRETE (MK V AND MK VII ONLY)

Callouts Enable or Callouts Disable with optional Minimums only

3.8.18 GND AUDIO SUPPRESS(INHIBIT)/ALL MODES INHIBIT DISCRETE

The function of this discrete is controlled by program pin. This discrete always inhibits all audio except for the Windshear warning. If configured to suppress visual the input will also suppress all visuals except for the Windshear warning. If configured to also suppress visuals, activation of this input for more than 60 seconds will always result in the ‘All Modes Inhibit” fault which will cause GPWS and Terrain INOP indications. As a function of selected aircraft type this discrete can also cause the All Modes Inhibit fault after 60 seconds even if it is only configured to suppress audio.

3.8.19 +28 V AUDIO SUPPRESS(INHIBIT)/ALL MODES INHIBIT DISCRETE
